Estos estándares y lineamientos curriculares se presentan tanto para colegios oficiales, como para colegios privados, en una pretensión de una educación homogenizada, con una evaluación homogenizada para una población tan heterogénea, donde la desventaja del sector oficial es muy amplia dada las facilidades de acceso a un contexto intercultural bilingüe de un estudiante de colegio privado.

El currículo de inglés para la Media Fortalecida y su articulación con la Jornada normal del colegio, está en construcción, teniendo en cuenta que en la jornada escolar los grados décimos tienen 3 bloques de 80 minutos y los undécimos dos; para la media fortalecida tendrán 10 horas distribuidas en la semana; además los estudiantes fueron clasificados en los niveles del MCER. Los grupos que se organizaron siguen siendo igual de numerosos a los de la mañana, es decir un promedio de 38 estudiantes.

Dentro de las áreas del conocimiento que se favorecen en la Media Fortalecida, encontramos las Lenguas y Humanidades; por tal motivo surge una preocupación institucional, pues se privilegia inglés como LE y se deja de lado el Español, como lengua materna, desobedeciendo a las necesidades de la comunidad educativa. La cercanía del colegio a zona franca, una zona construida para desarrollar actividades industriales de bienes, servicios o comerciales que tengan como propósito la creación de empleo y captación de nuevas inversiones de capital, con una normativa especial en materia tributaria, aduanera y de comercio exterior. Esta organización opera como un lugar libre de impuestos, el flujo de bienes, valores, mercancías es continuo.
